Mission Statement

Wesley Learning Center’s mission is to provide a high-quality learning experience for all children in a safe and nurturing environment that allows each child to develop at his or her own pace.

Children participate in a learning environment that is integrated in all interest areas. Each child moves at their own pace, working in smaller environments to achieve the readiness skills needed to be successful both socially and academically in the years to come. This is done through play and positive interactions.

Background

Wesley Learning Center was founded in 1993, with only one classroom and two staff members. Over the last several decades we have grown to five classrooms and thirteen staff members.

The center is overseen by the Board of Directors which is made up of the pastor of the Newtown United Methodist Church, church members, parent representatives, and the center director. They oversee the policies and procedures while the director runs the daily operation of the center.
